Biography of Louis E. Atkinson

Louis E. Atkinson, representative, was born in Delaware, Pa., April 16, 1841. He was graduated at the University of the city of New York, M.D., 1861, and served in the medical department of the U.S. army, 1861-65. He studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1870, and represented Pennsylvania in the 48th, 49th, 50th, 51st, and 52d congresses, 1883-93.
