Summers Melville Jack Biographical Sketch

Summers Melville Jack, representative, was born in Summersville, Pa.; July 18, 1852; son of Lowry and Cornelia (Baldwin) Jack. He was educated at the Indiana normal school, Pa.; studied law with Silas M. Clark, of Indiana, Pa., and was admitted to the bar in 1679. He was district attorney of Indiana count), 1884-90; a trustee of Indiana normal school, 1886-1900, and a Republican representative from the twenty-first district in the 56th and 57th congresses, 1899-1903.
