William Carlisle Arnold Biography

William Carlisle Arnold, representative, was born in Luthersburg, Pa., July 15, 1851; son of Samuel and Mary (Carlisle) Arnold; grandson of Peter Arnold, and a descendant of the Arnold family which emigrated from England to Connecticut early in the seventeenth century. He was educated in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, was admitted to the bar in 1875, and practised in Clearfield, Pa. He was a Republican representative from the 28th district in 1895-99.
