Contact Us! 15% - 35% off all Products ยป The Ready Store Biographies:Biographical Sketch of Enoch Hutchinson Enoch Hutchinson, editor and author, was born in Marion, N.Y., June 25, 1810. He was graduated at Waterville college, A.B., 1834, A.M., 1837, and at the Newton Theological institution, Newton Centre, Mass., 1837. He was or-dained a clergyman in the Baptist church in Boston, Mass., Nov. 26, 1837; and was pastor of the Baptist church at Framingham, Mass., 1840-41. In the latter year he accepted the chair of theology in the Maine Baptist Theological institute, Thomaston, Maine, and was subsequently for many years editor of the Baptist Memorial published in New York city. He was a thorough oriental strident and is the author of a volume entitled Music of the Bible (1864); and also of a translation of Uhlemann's Syriac Grammar (1875). He died in Brooklyn, N.Y., March 1, 1885. |
