Contact Us! 15% - 35% off all Products ยป The Ready Store Biographies:A Biography of James Hathaway Jackson James Hathaway Jackson, physician, was born in Peterboro, Madison county, N.Y., June 11, 1841; son of Dr. James Caleb and Lucretia Edgerton (Brewster) Jackson. His preparatory education was acquired at Dansville seminary, N.Y., and he was graduated in medicine from Bellevue Hospital medical college in 1876. In 1861 he became connected with Jackson sanatorium, as business manager. In 1876 he became physician-in-chief of the institution, and in 1880, editor of Laws of Life and Journal of Health, a monthly journal. He was married, Sept. 13, 1864, to Kate, daughter of the Hon. Emerson and Hannah (Arnold) Johnson, of Sturbridge, Mass. He is the author of numerous articles and pamphlets on health. |
