Contact Us! 15% - 35% off all Products ยป The Ready Store Biographies:Biographical Sketch of Henry Clay Loudenslager Henry Clay Loudenslager, representative, was born in Mauricetown, Cumberland county, N.J., May 22, 1852; son of Samuel Paul and Sarah (Haley) Loudenslager, and grandson of Jacob and Elizabeth Loudenslager. He removed with his parents to Paulsboro, N.J., in 1856, and received a common school education. He worked on his father's farm until 1872, and engaged in the produce commission business in Philadelphia, 1872-82. He was elected clerk of Gloucester county in 1882 and re-elected in 1887, and was a Republican representative from the first district of New Jersey in the 53d-58th congresses, 1893-1905. |
