Biographies:

Biography of Charles Fremont Cochran

Charles Fremont Cochran, representative, was born in Kirksville, Mo., Sept. 27, 1848. He removed to Atchison, Kan., in 1860, and there acquired his education in the common schools. He was admitted to the bar and engaged in the practice of law and also in newspaper work. He was prosecuting attorney of Atchison county, Kan., and returned to Missouri in 1885, settling in St. Joseph. He was a state senator and a Democratic representative in congress from 1897 to 1905.
