Biographies:

Ebenezer Fisher Biographical Sketch

Ebenezer Fisher, educator, was born in Charlotte, Maine, Feb. 6, 1815. He was educated in his native state and entered the Universalist ministry, holding various pastorates in New York state and elsewhere. On the establishment of the theological department of St. Lawrence university, he was elected the president and held the office until his death. He published: The Christian Salvation: a Diseussion with J. H. Walden (1869). See his Biography (1880). He died in Canton, N.Y., Feb. 21, 1879.
