A Biography of Joshua H. Jewitt

Joshua H. Jewitt, representative, was born at Deer Creek, Md., Sept. 13, 1812. He studied law and removed to Kentucky where he practised his profession in Elizabethtown. He was a representative in the 34th and 35th congresses, 1855-59, serving as chairman of the committee on invalid pensions. He died at Elizabethtown, Ky.
