He was educated in the common schools and was admitted to the bar in 1885, and in 1886 and 1888 was prosecuting attorney of the second judicial circuit of Indiana. He was a member of the Republican state committee in 1890; and a representative from the first district of Indiana in the 54th-58th congresses, 1895-1905. |
