A Biography of Charles Dexter Allen

Charles Dexter Allen, editor, was born at Windsor Locks, Conn., March 8, 1865. He was educated in the public schools of Hartford, and subsequently engaged in banking. He became editor of: "In Lantern Land" in December, 1898. He is the author of: "American Book-Plates" (1894); "A Classified List of Early American Book-Plates" (1894); and" Ex Libris: Essays of a Collector" (1896).
